Lincolnshire does not get it’s fair share of funding from central government. This has gone unchecked whilst the Conservatives have run Lincolnshire County Council – Labour will do everything we can to get a better deal for Lincolnshire people.

How we will manage the council money differently:

• Make the most of current low interest rates to repay loans more efficiently
• A review of services currently delivered by private services to see if we could get a better deal by running these services using Council-employed staff
• Avoid unnecessarily large payoffs for council executives – as has happened under the Conservative-run council
• More accurate budgeting to avoid projects running wildly over-budget, as happened with the Lincoln Eastern Bypass which cost £25 million more than budgeted.
